My Hero Academia has officially ended after eight seasons on Nippon TV. The final episode, titled "My Hero Academia," aired on December 13, 2025, bringing the popular anime series to a close.

The superhero anime originally premiered on April 3, 2016, following normal student Izuku Midoriya who gains superpowers after saving a bully from a villain. This allows him to attend U.A. High School, a training academy for aspiring heroes. The series blended action, adventure, and coming-of-age themes throughout its nearly decade-long run.

My Hero Academia maintained strong viewer support throughout its eight seasons, earning an 8.6 rating from over 5,200 votes. The anime adapted Kohei Horikoshi's manga series, bringing the story of Deku and his classmates' journey to become professional heroes to screens worldwide.

With the series now concluded, there are no plans for additional seasons or continuation announced by Nippon TV.
