Prime Video has confirmed that The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will return for Season 3, with the premiere scheduled for November 11, 2026. The fantasy epic concluded its second season on October 3, 2024, with the episode "Shadow and Flame."

The series, which first premiered on September 1, 2022, has been greenlit for three seasons total. Set in Middle-earth during the Second Age, the show follows an ensemble cast confronting the return of evil across various kingdoms including Númenor, Lindon, and the Misty Mountains.

With a 7.2 rating based on over 3,600 votes, the action-adventure drama continues to build on J.R.R. Tolkien's legendary world. The series explores how these characters and kingdoms establish legacies that endure long after their time.

Fans will need to wait nearly two years for the next installment, as production continues on the upcoming third season.
